Portland Pottery offers a wide range of materials and products for any potter, beginner to professional.

Clay

Laguna clays: Low-fire, Mid-range, Porcelain, Hi-fire, Air-dry, Paper clay.

Standard clays: Low-fire, Mid-range, Porcelain, Hi-fire.

If you're mixing glazes or formulating clay, we have the quality materials the Ceramic Industry trusts.

Glazes

Tools

We carry tools from the following lines: Kemper, Xiem, Mudtools, Chinese Clay Art, Doo Woo, Clay Shapers, Giffin Grips and MKM Stamps.

We also carry sponges, natural and synthetic, bats, wax, and brushes, Orton Cones in bars, juniors, large and self supporting.

Bisqueware

Tiles: We carry 4x4 and 6x6 bisque tiles.

Bisque: The Braintree store carries Chesapeake and Mayco brand bisque from cups and mugs to banks, figurines and seasonal items.  Bisque can be transferred to the Portland store.

Equipment

Kilns: We do not stock kilns, but can order, deliver, and install from these brands and others: Skutt, L&L, Evenheat, Amaco, Paragon. 

Refractory:  We carry a wide range of shelves for all sizes of kilns along with posts and stilts.

Pottery wheels: We carry the following brands and try to have them in stock:  Shimpo, Brent, Pacifica, and Clayboss.

We do not stock large equipment, but can order slabrollers, pugmills, extruders and more from North Star, Shimpo, Amaco, Peter Pugger and others.
