North Star Slab Rollers are manufactured in two basic model series. Our Standard Slab Roller models are designed to be used by hobby potters and students everywhere, and are an excellent choice for home and small studio use. Our Super Slab Roller models are designed to be used in industrial, institutional, production settings, and other applications that require extremely heavy daily use.

Our Standard Slab Rollers are manufactured in 18” and 24” widths. On special order, we will also manufacture our Standard Slab Roller in a 30” width. Standard Slab Rollers have rollers that are 2.5” in diameter. The work tables that the Standard Slab Rollers are mounted to are 48” long with the rollers positioned in the center. The crank handle drives the bottom roller directly on these models. Our trademark “WagonWheel” drive handle that is standard on our Super Slab Rollers, may be ordered for the Standard Slab Rollers as an additional accessory item.

Our Super Slab Rollers are much heavier, and are manufactured in 24”, 30”, and 36” widths. Super Slab Rollers have rollers that are 4” in diameter. The work tables that the Super Slab Rollers are mounted to are 72” long with the rollers positioned in the center. The roller drive on the Super Slab Roller features a 4.33:1 steel gear reduction between the handle and the roller to ensure ease of use by all when turning the “WagonWheel” drive handle. The Super Slab Roller models come only with our “WagonWheel” drive handle.
